The Advanced Workflow Specialist is responsible responsible to understand the advanced workflows and needs of our customers, to help build and articulate our value propositions. The AWS provides product demonstration, training and application support on the Advanced portfolio when knowledge and expertise in the target segments’ application is required. Support will be provided to Leica’s Life Science Research customers, Account Managers, Sales Specialists and agents in all facets of their selling activities. This includes, but is not limited to, coordinating and providing customer support on all advanced imaging and analysis products, remote and on-site product demonstrations, and workshops.
Additionally, the AWS consults with customers and sales/applications specialists to deeply understand and provide extensive application support on issues related to general microscopy; performs remote online troubleshooting and training sessions with end customers and sales reps; supports exhibitions and coordinates short course support, including planning, communicating, teaching and reporting; handles demonstration system logistics and confirms correct system functionality; and processes customer provided samples and develops methods to address specific customer needs; develops digital materials for customer trainings and supports Market Development and Marketing teams to understand customer needs and develop targeted content.
This role is key to enable the delivery of custom-tailored value propositions throughout all our touch points along the customer journey to increase our win rate, revenues and market share.
This position reports to the AWS Manager and is part of the Central Europe Sales and Support TEam located in Munich, Germany and will be fully remote.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Contribute translating a strategy at EMEA regional level into actions
- develop and execute new marketing activities or collaterals (e.g. seminars, workshops, customer events, webinars and exhibitions; virtual and on-site) in close collaboration with Marketing Managers
- Deliver best in class application training to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Participate in and contribute to Key Accounts teams to maximize customer satisfaction and capture full sales potential in cooperation with AM and/or PSS
The essential requirements of the job include:
- A degree (MS or PhD) in Life Sciences or something equivalent
- Workflow experience: single-cell and / or organoid imaging and analysis, sample preparation and analysis for protein and RNA
- Widefield experience: conducting advanced microscopy experiments, detection in tissue, multiplex imaging and associated data analysis; Experience with applications and workflows covering imaging, data handling, analysis and insights typical for Translational Research (e.g.: tumour characterization, immunooncology, etc.) Biotech, Pharma Research or CROs are a plus.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role
- Travel (required estimated % of time) ~50-60%
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Experience in a customer-facing support role (preferred)
- Experience maintaining and troubleshooting advanced imaging equipment, hardware and software (preferred)
