The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for daily engineering support of Manufacturing Operations. The Manufacturing Engineer is also responsible for continuous improvement and optimization of the manufacturing processes. This includes minimizing process variability to reduce product variability, to reduce defect rate, and to increase customer satisfaction. This also includes reducing process cost by improving efficiency and reducing waste, and implementation of improvements in the Environmental, Health, and Safety aspects of the processes. The Manufacturing Engineer will also work cross functionally with the Quality Team to support Customer Complaint investigations and resolution, with the Advanced Engineering, R+D, and Product Engineering teams to support development and implementation of new products, processes, and equipment, and with the Facilities and Maintenance Teams to support improvements in the maintenance program.
This position reports to the Sr Facilities, Maintenance, and Engineering Manager and is part of the Manufacturing & Operations located in Hauppauge, NY and will be an on-site role.
What you’ll do:
- Become a subject matter expert in our manufacturing processes in order to provide support for maintenance, operations and customers.
- Identify root cause and implement corrective/preventive actions to resolve manufacturing and quality problems.
- Develop and implement process improvements to meet site goals for product quality, manufacturing cost, and process output.
- Work with cross-functional teams to support Qualification & Validation activities.
- Work with cross-functional teams to design safe, lean, repeatable equipment and processes.
Who you are:
- B.S. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related technical degree.
- Proven technical / engineering knowledge with minimum 2 years’ with engineering ownership of production processes.
- Ability to work independently and with teams, strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven track record of data driven decision making and sustainment of implemented improvements.
- Self-motivated, drives for implementation of CAPA’s and improvement projects with urgency while minimizing risk.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Root Cause Investigation, CAPA, Statistical Analysis, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Lean, Continuous Improvement, 5S, Document Change Control, FMECA, Process Validation, cGMP, ISO9001.
- Mechanical aptitude and/or basic understanding of control systems and ability to assist with troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment issues.

The salary range range for this role is $75,200 - $85,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
