The Production Planner is responsible for the demand plan and developing feasible operational plans and maintain ownership over the execution of the operational plan, achieve the objective of customer satisfaction, minimize Cytiva liability and continuously improve the performance of the planning metrics.

This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Production Planning and is part of the Supply Chain team located in Duncan, SC as an onsite role.

What you’ll do

  • Create and maintain a feasible production plan based off purchase orders and closely work with operation team to achieve successful execution of the plan
  • Create a schedule through resource analysis including material sizing and capacity sizing
  • Ensure that production schedules are aligned with lead times, equipment availability, and material constraints
  • Closely monitor the actual performance of the schedule and drive for immediate corrective action and recovery plan in case there is a potential miss to the schedules target
  • Communicate any changes in production plans to relevant stakeholders, ensure their impact is understood and addressed while monitoring planning metrics and driving continuous improvements

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree (4 years) with a minimum of 2 years of supply chain/operations experience in a manufacturing environment (direct production planning experience is a plus), or an Associates degree (2 years) combined with at least 4 years of supply chain/operations experience in a manufacturing environment (direct production planning experience is a plus)
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Advanced PC skills
  • Thorough knowledge of ERP/MRP (SAP is a plus)

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals 
  • Experience with continuous improvement such as LEAN/KAIZEN
  • APICS certification
