We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for the Greater Europe region who will be responsible providing analytical support to the Life Sciences commercial and finance management team for Western Europe, CEE, CIS, Russia & Israel. The role also provides expense management support to Sales Ops [EU & North America] and Sales EU. They must be able to extract, review, and report results for metrics assigned for oversight. This position reports to the Greater Europe Senior Manager.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Drive monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes for revenue, bookings, headcount and expenses, including detailed bottom-up planning, walk-forward analysis, and proactive management of variances. Calculation and communication of sales accruals.
- Regular checks on pricing and margin, analysis of outliers and understanding of key variance drivers with detailed comments.
- Monthly review and assessment of sales inventory to ensure effective asset classification, validation of location, usage and where necessary provision for write-off.
- Assist the Europe LS finance managers with development and maintenance of common tools and processes relating to the planning, review, and reporting responsibilities of the team.
- Be a trusted finance business partner and have the skillset to build a strong partnership with the Greater Europe Sales organization, working cross-functionally with Customer Service, Supply, Sales Operations, and Shared Service Finance, providing ad-hoc analysis, actionable insights, and general finance support to drive business objectives.
The required qualifications for the job include:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a Finance / Accounting related discipline or equivalent.
- ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified
- Expertise in finance and accounting with emphasis on budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and analysis, and financial modeling.
- Strong to advanced MS Excel skills (financial modeling, pivot tables etc.) and experience with ERP systems (e.g., BCP, Hyperion, Oracle) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Ability to develop financial models and trackers in Excel from scratch or streamline existing models and trackers to drive more efficient reporting and analysis
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Experience in Commercial Finance within the Life Science industry
- Fluency in another European Language
