In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Participate in design projects by collaborating with senior engineers and other departments to understand project requirements and gain exposure to project planning and execution. 
  • Produce engineering designs and manage complex assemblies in CAD software under guidance of senior engineers.  This will be done by creating Engineering drawings to technical standards, managing assembly and component engineering change levels, and supporting the development of technical and product documentation while learning industry standards and best practices for design and safety.
  • Assist in the assembly of mechanical systems.  You will support the installation of equipment at customer sites, support validation processes by executing test plans and documenting results, develop and test prototype machinery or components, as well as prepare detailed documentation and technical reports.
  • Provide product support by troubleshooting and improving existing equipment and updating documents of legacy manufacturing systems.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, (or a related field) or equivalent experience and education.
  • Basic proficiency with 3D CAD modeling software such as Solid Edge, Solid Works, PTC Creo, Etc.
  • Mechanical skills

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Analysis or simulation tools.  CFD, FEA, etc.
  • Statistical analysis and data analysis tools. 
  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing standards (GD&T)
