The Commercial Excellence & Operations Japan specialist  is responsible for driving commercial excellence initiatives and cross-functional operational efficiency projects to bring a best in class customer experience, supporting commercial team on various initiatives with data and background support as and when may be required per business needs.  The role is also to work closely with not only Japan team but global and APAC teams to help improve business productivity and maximize the growth by providing insights and execution support through analysis.

This position reports to the Commercial Excellence Lead, Japan and is part of the APAC Commercial Excellence.  At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you will do:

  • Partner with commercial teams to establish appropriate territories, segmentation.
  • Provide the commercial team with an environment where accurate and up-to-date information is maintained in BI and CRM. Collaborate with global teams on enhancements and provide training and SOPs as needed.
  • Provide insightful analysis and reporting to track performance and support business decision making. Monthly reports, tailored reports upon business unit request, KPI and incentive tracking reports, etc.
  • Build strong global and local relationships to ensure that the voices of Japanese customers and associates are reflected in decision making.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in commercial excellence/sales excellence roles in the areas of SFE, business analytics, strategic planning, territory/segmentation planning, or distributors management.
  • Solid experience with CRM tools preferably SFDC, BI tools e.g. Qlik
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
  • Excellent communication skills in both Japanese and English

Travel Requirements:

  • Some business travel (domestic/overseas) may be required on occasion

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience in commercial or commercial excellence roles in the Life Sciences, medical devices or biopharmaceuticals industry
  • Experience in sales territory design including identifying target customers, and annual plans for target customers
