This position reports to the Team leader Senior Scientist and is part of the Protein development platform department and located in Cambridge (UK) and is a lab-based role (on site). At Abcam, our vision is to be the most influential life sciences company for researchers worldwide.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Perform Sequencing to support our Antibody development platform
- Perform Biophysical QC, including but not limited to Mass Spectrometry and HPLC
- Assist in developing and optimizing our Sequencing and Biophysical QC processes
The essential requirements of the job include:
- A BSc and/or MSc. in a Life Sciences subject
- 2 plus years of hands-on experience in Sequencing (Sanger and or NGS) or Biophysical QC.
- Excellent attention to detail with good organizational skills
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Protein Expression & Purification
- Performing to high quality standards within the lab; ensuring the lab is compliant with all external and internal quality standards, and compliance with all health and safety guidelines.
