Do you want to become an integral member of a Quality team in a quality driven business, producing aerospace products? Our Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring the quality of internal and externally manufactured parts are conforming to specification and are supplied to internal customers by utilising a visual management system. Covering a wide range of manufacturing processes including intricate machined items, carbon fiber and glass fiber composites, injection mouldings and many other parts and processes. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in measurement and quality related activities.
This position is site based only as part of the Quality Control Department and will be located in Redruth.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Perform quality control activities by utilising the visual management system to ensure all products are supplied to internal and external customers requirements.
- Generate First article reports for validation and submission. and conduct internal audits of products/processes and assist in the training of other associates for the Operator Certification program.
- Create non-conformance reports.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Having successfully completed a craft apprenticeship or equivalent experience in an aerospace/engineering or quality environment.
- Familiar with measurement systems using CMM’s, FARO arm’s or other 3D type measuring equipment.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings and geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing and knowledge of First and last article inspections.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- EASA Part21/145, ISO9001 & ISO9100
- ERP – SAP system.
- First principle measuring equipment, such as Height Gauges, Digital Calipers, Micrometers etc.
- Net Inspect or Discus First Article software and also have Internal auditing experience.
