The Marketing Writer for Cytiva is responsible for working closely with our R&D and marketing organizations to write scientific and technical content that is compelling, engaging, concise, and factually accurate.
This position is part of the Marketing Communications organization located in Harbourgate, Portsmouth, UK or Marlborough, MA, USA and will be on-site.

What you will do:
Transform highly technical content supplied by our research and development (R&D) organization into engaging, conversational, search-engine optimized (SEO), and customer-focused content for digital channels.
Work with subject matter experts and our marketing organization to adapt content to target different marketing segments and customer personas.
Take ownership for all phases of content production and optimization including planning, information gathering, writing, reviewing, editing, working with graphic designers to generate artwork, and final sign-off.
Collaborate with our digital team and stakeholders to measure and report content effectiveness; use insights from analytics to improve content and content strategies.
Ensure corporate branding guidelines are integrated into marketing communications.
Who you are:
Bachelor of Science degree in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, immunology, bioengineering, or related field
Multiple years of experience in science writing, journalism, copyrighting, or writing marketing communication materials for the life sciences.
Strong writing, editing, and copyediting skills; careful attention to detail, and ability to work to a corporate style guide and develop SEO-rich documents to ensure that the content ranks well with search engines.
Apply critical thinking and demonstrate a solid understanding of the scientific method, experimental design, and statistical analysis.
Experience from the biopharmaceutical industry or a university research environment is considered a merit.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Demonstrated ability to work with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and SEO software.
Ability to perform web analytics on published pages using web analytic tools such as Adobe Analytics and Mouseflow is advantageous.
